George Russell insisted “all the things was proper” after bettering his qualifying time to take pole place on the F1 Austrian Grand Prix, regardless of a yellow flag midway via.

The Mercedes driver recorded an unbelievable time of 1 minute 06.133 seconds on the Purple Bull Ring, stopping Ferrari from squeezing out the entrance row and taking his fourth pole place of the season.
