Kota Kaneko wins Austria Alpine Open by two strokes

Kitzbühel, Austria — Kota Kaneko birdied the par-3 seventeenth gap on the Austrian Alpine Open and shot a 3-under 67 to win by two strokes and develop into the ninth Japanese participant to win on the European Tour.

Kaneko, who received the Order of Benefit on final 12 months’s Japan Golf Tour and earned his European Tour card, completed two spots forward of Ricardo Gouveia (69) and Davis Bryant (65). He completed with 18 underneath par and 262.

Bryant, who performed at Colorado State College, tied for first with Kaneko holding the chip on the seventeenth. Bryant bogeyed the ultimate gap.

Kaneko completed runner-up ultimately week’s Soudal Open. This victory moved him as much as eleventh place within the Race to Dubai.
