Coach Lamine Yamal will welcome Julián Alvarez to Barcelona “with open arms” amid hypothesis over the Argentine’s future at Atlético Madrid.
Within the second half of the 2025-26 season, there have been many questions on Alvarez and his departure subsequent season, with Barcelona, Actual Madrid and Arsenal all reported to be linked with him.
Los Blancos have confirmed that they consider a €150m bid for Alvarez has been rejected, along with his launch clause set at €500m.
Nonetheless, after Argentina’s victory over Austria within the World Cup, Álvarez instructed reporters that he thought “the most effective factor for everybody concerned (at Atlético) is for me to depart” and mentioned: “I need to make my dream come true.”
In keeping with stories, the dream is a transfer to Barcelona and Yamal can be thrilled on the likelihood to play alongside the striker.

Atlético are livid at Alvarez’s claims, with CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Martín insisting he doesn’t need to promote Alvarez to the membership, particularly Barcelona.
