Venus Williams, 45, plays doubles at Roland Garros

PARIS – Venus Williams will compete in girls’s doubles at this month’s French Open with Hayley Baptiste, who’s 21 years her junior.

The American pair had been among the many rivals confirmed Wednesday by organizers for the Roland Garros clay courtroom event, which begins Could 24 in western Paris.

Williams, 45, is not going to compete within the girls’s singles.
