Japan nationwide workforce head coach Eddie Jones has been suspended for six weeks and given a pay lower for guiding “abusive language” to officers in the course of the under-23 workforce’s tour of Australia final month.
The 66-year-old former England supervisor, who’s in his second stint with the Courageous Blossoms, has accepted disciplinary motion from the Japan Rugby Soccer Union and apologized for his “inappropriate” feedback.
Jones commented by means of JRFU, “I take this punishment very critically. In the course of the Japan U23 Nationwide Group match held in Australia the opposite day, my inappropriate feedback induced discomfort to the native match officers and everybody concerned.”
“I want to apologize to everybody concerned, deeply replicate on my phrases and actions, and attempt to forestall one thing like this from taking place once more.”
The U-23 tour will run from April 1 to fifteen, and the JRFU confirmed on Wednesday that Jones had been given an unspecified “discount in pay” and a six-week suspension from April 24 to June 5.
The suspension means Australia will miss 4 video games, the final of which would be the Nations Championship opener in opposition to Italy in Tokyo on July 4.
