Wichita State closes both golf programs due to financial difficulties

WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State College introduced Tuesday that it’s ending its males’s and girls’s golf applications efficient instantly.

“Immediately is a tough second for our division. This resolution was not made flippantly and displays deep and cautious consideration,” Director of Athletics Kevin Searle mentioned in a press release.

The college cited long-term monetary sustainability as an element behind the change, calling the panorama of recent school athletics “more and more advanced and costly.”
